The course taken by the RX1 and RX1R way to pack full-frame sensors in handy cameras made me somewhat more enthusiastic. The price but not here. Although I have, dreamlike images shot with the RX1, which I have owned a good six months. The lack of viewfinder and the non-existent ability to use interchangeable lenses but have brought me here again Sony away.
When I read on the net the news on the A7, the interest was great. Everything I did not fit on the RX1, had the A7 aboard.
Since one week I have the A7 for testing here (thanks to my dealer) and am thrilled. The build quality is great, even if the case does not quite as high as in the RX1. The viewfinder is a dream, comparable to my Olympus OM-D E-M1. Who has not yet come to terms with electronic viewfinders should try out the Sony ...
The menu has taken to the happiness of the Alpha DSLR series, and not of the Sony NEX series. It is also found as Sony rookie deal immediately.
Let's talk about image quality: that is, put simply, phenomenal. What the camera is out tickles Details indescribable. For sunsets with mountains in the background of the foreground still something of detail is ... that gets even my E-M1 with the best lenses not go. And I love the E-M1 !!
Due to the rapid adjustment of the exposure on the upper dial and the many freely assignable knobs can configure the camera really ideal to his needs now and see the result even before triggering the viewfinder. This makes genuine humor.
I just use the 35x Zeiss lens and the image quality I find enormously. The criticized by many (because of too low perceived) intensity of 2.8 is sufficient in my opinion, absolutely. Please test first time and then grumble ;-)
The Kitlinse Unfortunately, in fact, not the hammer but now not as abysmal as some people think. As everyday lens it produces very ordinary images, but with the 35s you should not compare this course.
Well, whether full format must be or not can not solve a review. Since everyone has to find out what demands he places on his camera.
But I warn right away: who could test the A7 in peace is getting sleepless nights.
Is there in all the euphoria and criticisms? Yes, unfortunately, there is. The shutter sound is soooo loud in fact, that I would not use the camera at a wedding in the church well. In addition, the autofocus is not nearly as quickly and accurately as Sony wants to leave us to believe in advertising. But I feel it subjectively faster than in Nex6, but still significantly slower than in my OM-D E-M1. In children playing, the number of blurry pictures is quite high. For this, the camera is really not suitable for sports photography there are certainly better alternatives.
Point deduction, there are still not sure. The camera offers, as measured by the price of competing DSLRs really much and when Sony it still manages to bring affordable and reasonably compact lenses on the market, is likely to be the success of anything in the way.
Unfortunately, the camera has to test again for traders, but my own is already ordered :-)
