Very good book to start with the raspberry. Long hours of reading and experience if you are new. Written in a clear and didactic style. This book covers a bit of everything (history, description, first start, the main linux command, introduction to programming in Python and scratch, additional hardware available). That's a lot for one book and so even if everything is fine brought by a person who knows what he's talking, it will provide other sources of information to go further in one (or more) domain (s) individual (s) while keeping the not too far to plunge them on occasion.
