Man's journey is fully described, since childhood. We see the character gradually slip into horror.
PLus generally, this book makes us think about a man, banal, almost poor, in a word: Usually placed in a situation it extraordinary. Gradually, we see how the monstrosity is terribly human. How the horror, the worst sometimes in men.
To my mind, this is the main interest of this book is not devoted to the victims of the global second. A book that presents us with the difficulty, as the impossibility of understanding the human soul.
