I've been using for quite some time Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor and am with this type of blood pressure measurement (compared with the upper arm device) very satisfied. I also have specially asked me by my cardiologist, since it generally means that especially in people with cardiovascular problems or diseases while a wrist monitor is not recommended because it is not as accurate as compared to the upper-arm measuring values supplies. I am applying the upper arm device always an abomination and because it annoys me so, I then fair do not think so. The wrist-meter, the measuring process is very easy and fast. My cardiologist has indeed confirmed that the upper arm gauges are more accurate, but said also that one can certainly notice the tendency of the values with the wrist gauges. As I said, I had the time of purchase of the Homedics already another wrist-meter, with which I was very pleased. I had thus carried out a comparison of the measured values with my family doctor, who has shown the device to display the correct values. Because now makes this machine uses the pump so strange noises, I took the action "Heart Health" at Amazon as an opportunity and have ordered the HoMedics as a second or replacement device. The values between this and my old device differ greatly and that is the HoMedics usually much lower values !! I have not returned the HoMedics (thought I have), but I ordered another device in action and now I may fair with all 3 devices. Each unit displays a different value, as long as all are in a tolerance zone, it's all right. But if the devices vary greatly in the measurements, I repeat the whole thing so long (of course with a break in between), correspond to at least 2 units. The HoMedics is, as I said, always be on the low side, but it already appears that also confirmed after repeated measurement with the other devices of this low value. After m. M. after the readings are the most important thing, I will give only 2 stars for the device, although it is of my 3 devices the most comfortable and fastest. However, without transport box what the others have. My conclusion: The wrist-meter shows me the tendency of my blood pressure if I had to know exact values for example, because the values always lie in the border area or for medication are crucial, I would rather use an upper arm device.
