This is an erudite novel, the plot takes place in plague background. But here no artificial juxtaposition of knowledge documented history. Both are one with a very fluid style, punctuated with humor and love, in which debate is a real literary character - the Commissioner Adamsberg - that credibility to the return of the plague in the XXI century (perhaps political allegory on the part of the author?). Would recommend to all non-amateur policemen like me.
