Why always cut all the critics actually on the second Collins' sche solo album "Hello, I Must Be Going" it? For each, it seems only the weak successor to the acclaimed debuts, and the predecessor of its global Duch break to be as pop artist with "No Jacket Required". Here this CD shines consistently with very good, varied compositions, much emotion and perfect recording and sound. As sound predecessor drums, wind instruments, voice and Gesamtarangement perfectly mixed from the speakers, which is rather exceptional for productions of the 80's. But I can find no flaw in content here. Whether Collins is a percussion-heavy tracks, an instrumental, funky up-tempo numbers with the EWF horn or ballads composed, at the time it all sounded more consistently intelligent, thoughtful and aiming at an emotional impact. Even after 15 years I can hear the CD very happy and dreaming of the time when pop music was still made of brilliant musicians and not by multi-million dollar producer. A fine piece of music that I can recommend to anyone music lovers warmly.
