Relatively friendly

Having the ability to play Mario Kart 8 with a pad gamecube me want to buy this pad.
Just before I said it had purchased the Fight Pad and PDP have been very disappointed with the quality of materials, the slices of the raised buttons and sticks.

Now the Battle Pad Hori will not escape the comparison with the Fight Pad PDP and of course the official Gamecube controller during my criticism.

Above all, know that this Battle Pad is nothing but a classic controller imitating the forms of gamecube controller, it then connects to a Wiimote, but it is obviously compatible with all games that can be played with a classic or Classic Controller Pro (Wii U and include Mario Kart 8 or Super Mario 3D World), the materials used are of lower quality than those of the official Gamecube controller.
The sticks offer slightly less resistance than their counterparts on the official Gamecube pad and the left stick is closer to the cross on Gamecube (about 1 or 2 mm and it makes a difference sacred of which more below).

However I had an unpleasant surprise to be in full play and to have my character that moves by itself while I do not touched the stick of the joystick, but it only happened once (unlike Fight Pad PDP).
The facades buttons are nice, the cross (wider) is nice (but do not count on it to play platform games, given its position and its still too small).

Slices buttons are very different from official Gamecube pad and Fight Pad PDP.
L and R are placed at the bottom and ZR and ZL above.
L and R are almost as large as their counterparts on the official Gamecube pad but not analog but I find them too far apart from each other to find the nice (it's already much better than the Fight Pad) /

I've tested this lever on Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Mario Kart 8: pleasant handle, at one time I even wondered if I do not prefer the Wii U Pro Controller, but compared to what I said above about the L and R buttons, I always prefer Wii U Pro Controller (have sore fingers when you have to keep the L button to lock or an object behind or the R button when it comes to a skid, it does not forgive)

Super Smash Bros. Melee: I did not feel much difference between playing with the pad and pad Gamecube, my level (I do not defend myself too badly Smash Bros) is still the same with this controller.
However, there is a detail that bothers me, the placement of the left stick.
As said above, it was moved by one or two millimeters to the cross, so it must get used to this new stick placement and this is very strange.

The turbo mode of the controller works without any worries.

I do not know if I would recommend this controller.
If you want to buy a joystick only play Super Smash Bros. Wii U take the adapter Gamecube clearly (I myself invest in one of these little gizmos).
To use this controller for other games, it depends.
Mario Kart 8 is fun with this controller, while Super Mario 3D World is not (Y or X run with and jump with A or B, with this lever is hell, and it is logical seen Super Mario 3D World has not been studied for this joystick).

Also, I've read on numerous occasions testimonies on various forums (French as English), who praised the Hori brand products, and when I've tried this controller, I admit I was a little disappointed (especially disappointed by the quality of materials).
