The mattress is a relatively thin foam mat that can be easily cut with scissors to the desired length. It has air holes, but I'm not sure if this is really necessary. After about 5 months and despite repeated twisting and turning of the mattress we see still a formation of depressions in the center. For a thin piece of foam definitely too expensive. What I however really like the cover. It is removable, on the upper side thick and absorbent to prevent that any "accidents" arrive on foam core. Hence 3 stars.
