Reliable equipment at a fair price

Now that I have tested for six months, the radio trigger, here is a brief review.
Anticipation, I have both the MX1C (for a Canon 500D) and the MX3C bought (for a 7D) - the two devices are the same, it is only included another cable for wireless triggering of the camera.

FUNCTION:
Those functions are specified by the manufacturer to function very reliably, these include:
- Wireless Remote Shutter Release
- Wireless triggering a flash
- Wireless triggering several flashes - for each flash is necessary, a receiver
- If you have several Trigmaster, so can be used as a wireless remote shutter release and the other to trigger the lightning.

In this price range you have, however, dispense with some features:
- The flash settings must be set directly on the flash and can not be made on the camera screen.
- No ETTL - The flash must therefore be operated in manual mode.
- High-speed sync is not working - that is, under 1/250 sec exposure time the first flash fires too early or too late.

PROCESSING
The units are in my opinion, well finished, there are only two small things to complain about:
- The battery cover (2 AAA batteries) the recipient is a bit fiddly to open and close.
- The receiver has a switch with which one between the functions Flash - Off - can turn Camera.
Unfortunately, it happens very often that the switch switches during transport in the case of off to a function and thus the batteries are discharged.
As a remedy, now I use a strip of adhesive tape.

As the previous speaker mentioned, you should be equal to a couple of batteries for the transmitter (23AE 12V) with order (eg by GP in 5-pack).
For me, the battery keeps the transmitter by approximately 500 trips. At the receiver, I can not say exactly, because I always use the different.

SUMMARY
The Trigmaster is small, well-made, has a fair price and is especially reliable.
So if you would like to experiment a bit with his lightning, do not want a clutter of wires and not a professional device with all the features needed - a strong buy recommendation!

To those who want to run the flash in auto mode (ETTL) - for the Trigmaster is not suitable. The flash will operate in ETTL mode always at full power!
Who is looking for a radio system that also ETTL and all other functions supported - "Pocket Wizard" should work fine. Accordingly, but also the price.
