After referring a friend, I was glad to find a cheese grater stainless steel crank. It's my third grater of this design - and by far the most expensive. The two predecessor products were made of plastic. The first time the friction drums rusting violently, the second was at the hinge of the handle to the service. Both will probably not happen again with this product. However, I am disappointed. For one thing, only one drum grater is supplied, during each Billigprodukt had three rubbing different thickness. Two steps would hand me well, but one relatively fine rasp I find seriously lacking for a premium product. On the other hand, the structure acts as a preliminary prototype: The plastic rings on the circulation of the two drum edges to reduce friction in the cage are cut to length glued strips instead of closed rings, so I fear that they will be fairly soon detached from the cut ends here and I do not trust therefore not to make me clean the grater drum in the dishwasher. What good is because the Inox material ?! Moreover, the point at which the two cut ends of each plastic strip converge on the drum circumference is difficult to clean. Finally, the locking latch for the top flap portion of the cage, although functional, but somehow seems pretty unkind. It is good that the grater is very sharp and that it is precisely to these plastic strips of stainless steel.
