I previously owned a Razer Kraken helmet and a turtle beach PX21 which I was happy for several years (2-3 for razer)
so I opted for a newer helmet there four months of that and so I bought this one:
for those who still hesitate because of the previous comments, I recall that the yen has defects for all helmets for all brands, worries also SAV, so here I speak as technical specification of the helmet and performance.
therefore noise, coverage has 25Hz 22kHz or above the audible band ... some will say that it is useless then, not the contrary, it is an assurance to hear all of your music, play, short movie is very good, the headset itself perfectly reproduces the sounds wanted, I spent several days testing the movie in various games and to identify limits: the result is convincing, play games like BF 4 crysis 3 or even see the games approaching as destiny guardians or halo (obtained via test relations if it intrigues you) the sound is exceptional, without abuse! the settings are not that hard when you know what you are doing (geek apprentices refrain = P) I would speak of the case later.
Surround: respect, sounds in space are really on top, we can guess from the virtual sound (an opponent in your blind spot etc ...) I do not argue about the interface of the control of loudspeakers " hand, "I only have technical spas that come to mind ...
the microphone: big surprise when I received the headset, see the mic was plugged into the headphone jack (so removable)!
a great addition, avoids labîmer and can change the game mode and movie mode = D
when the quality? nothing to fear, jack covers a frequency of 4 kHz jack, your voice barely covers 3.6kHz during normal use (gender without attempting to blow the eardrums ...), so a big plus for this headset again.
for housing, for those who would not use optical output, I strongly recommend its use, as said before, the helmet covers a wide soundtrack, so it captures more noise too, the case can manage this level of noise and cancel it.
I confess, however, that the USB cable connecting the box to the PC is too small, but I quickly remedied by the sound result. so by connecting the headset to the case, as we open new settings feature rather interesting point of view largely music, more powerful bass, well clear sharp, uncompromising ...
I would add three faults that helmet:
-imposant, this headset is undeniably big, but still understandable shame ...
-armature plastic, I always preferred metal for good because of resistance, even if my equipment is well maintained and that even in the frame remains resistant plastic (several drops and yet not a scratch)
-despite the multiconsole support, the sound quality is felt only on PC, the sound seems bland console, despite perfect compatibility, the vague impression that something is missing in the atmosphere of the headset sounds ...
so for me an excellent helmet in every respect, the design is nice, the metal frame would be better, the case deserves to have more cable reach for comfort ... a complete operating manual would not refusal for less used to control boxes ...
a 4/5 (4.5 / 5) for this very good helmet, recommended for addicted to games or music fans.
