Without Manichaeism, the author cheerfully scratched the American way of life and questions the virtues of success for the success that can thwart personal development. However, it does so with honesty enough to remember how this model of life may prove reassuring and comfortable and come it can be diffcult to renounce it. The second part of the novel on life in Montana is remarkable, it seems to be there and demonstrated a mastery of the author's narrative and perfectly illustrates the pitfalls to live under a false identity. Finally it was nice "photos" on fatherhood, regret, married life, passion and passing time. A book to read urgently.
