Remastered but still a few bugs in the game

It surprises me that Amazon currently offers only the CE version, but not the normal Remastered Homeworld. Currently the jedenfallsist so, but maybe that will change. Who is looking for somewhere else after the game will definitely find it and it will cost about 20-32 euros depending on the provider.

For those who do not yet know Homeworld was told that it is one of the most successful classic in the genre. Strategy at its finest you could also say this. The whole plays in space and the ships leave in all the taxes, so what that means everything happens in three-dimensional space three directions.
At first you have only the mother ship as here on the image to see our range a few reconnaissance ships. You collect resources with resource collection vessels. These consist of asteroids and now and then a few ruins.
Initially, the "fleet" very limited. Through research and exchange (for resources) with a particular race in the game, the portfolio can be expanded by many new ships. From fighter bomber over (against large ships) on frigates to large battleships can be later in the game all build. Even the capture of ships the enemy is really fun and may be necessary now and then to win a level. If you are clever, you can thus significantly increase the "fleet".
The game also has cutscenes further tell the story. However, they are mainly only of animated images on the not too much going on. But this does not detract from the game and they fit very well into the game a. But even these were overhauled and got a fresh look.
Among the stories I do not want to reveal too much. But let's briefly describe the beginning. One can find ruins of an old by this time apparently unknown race. But this turns out to be a mistake, because this is the same people. In the ruins of artifacts and records were found to prove it, but it is already a few thousand years old. You always thought you'd come in where you are located from the system records described otherwise. In the documents, however, can also plans how to build a specific ship (the mother ship) and the all-important hyperdrive. This allows to travel to distant galaxies. You build this mother ship with the drive. In the first test, they are then attacked by an alien race.
It turned out that one has violated very old law, namely never to build a hyperdrive. Henceforth, one must therefore resist his opponents and try to find the ancient homeworld again.
Now even the reason why I only gave the game 4-star. The graphic was of course greatly improved and you can also adjust all resolutions imaginable now. The resolution goes up to Ultra HD.
And here also start already the first bugs. In the UHD resolution sometimes numbers are simply swallowed. It has, for example, a strip with numbers from 1 - 10. The number "1" is at the high resolution just completely gone and seen only half of the "2". The numbers ansich're here to create groups with the individual units, which can then be then selected via the numbers mouse click. How should this go when they are missing? Well the whole can also be controlled entirely using the keyboard, and you can dispense with the mouse clicks. But is still annoying. Annoyingly is then already the bug with the resources collectors. Here it happens, though rarely, they are in front of the resource and not collect these because they apparently do not know where to start. Usually, the collectors also collect everything automatically if you have time given them the command to do so. Every now and then it happens, however, that they forgot to collect some. They must be practically then nudge again. The game can be quite crucial in a game where the resources are very scarce. Then you collect every now and then a shambles. If a ship captured resources such debris is pushed by tractor beam in front of him, then this rubble is suddenly completely invisible. While we see a ring around it when you go with your mouse over it how big the debris is, but he's just out of sight.
Certainly the bugs are all quite small and maybe I have not yet discovered all but a game that was only reissued and where all Level 1: 1 have been taken, such bugs should not occur actually. Only the Anzeigebug with the missing numbers I would personally evaluated without deduction.
Technically sound has, unlike the classics actually done anything. Everything sounds the same as before, but this is quite be described as good. Much more can not make. Explosions do quite nicely Bums. Although the space but is actually silently? Well anyway ...;)
But still a great game, even for those who have already played the original then. Oh I almost forgot it. The remastered version contains both Homeworld 1 and Homeworld 2. The classic variants are still with us. What is not included and I very pity is find "Homeworld: Catacysm". But that is probably because it has been programmed for one of another game company, and secondly also a stand-alone game, in which you do not need the normal Homeworld. Who Homeworld 1 & 2 like very much, which I can Homeworld: Laying Catacysm only warmly recommend. It is the other parts in every way and even the graphics are for or acceptable. Pricewise Cataclysm is probably so by 10 euros, if I remember correctly.
For multiplayer I can not say anything because I have not played it for one and the other is still in the beta phase. So is not quite finished. But at that time but that was lots of fun and that should still be so even today the original. Even against the computer, you can play with different levels of difficulty and map / maps to choose from.
