Hot Fuss (Audio CD)

Customer Review

A band from Las Vegas to conquer the world.
With "Hot Fuss" is one of the most refreshing succeeded The Killers albums of 2004. The experienced production team tailored the debutants an album on the body where you can not easily get away.
In principle, I agree with many other speakers. The focus is mainly in the area of '80s pop - and very close to it in the big moments of Duran Duran - both in terms of the singer, as well as the arrangements.
A total of grandiose disc which also dares unusual and off the ganannten Pop-rail surprising trips to hard guitar riffs, but also completely opposite ventured into gospel spheres and quiet ballads.
"Change Your Mind" is such a ballad - and for me by far the best song on the album. Here are the Killers, who seek their inspiration unquestionably in British music history, close to the large Smiths.
"Jenny was a Friend of Mine", "Somebody Told Me" and especially "Mr. Brightside" are other top songs that pleasantly stand out from average.
If the band continues like this, it will establish itself in the circle of the great. But for this it needs a little more sophisticated songwriting.
The Killers will accompany soon U2 concerts in most of the open-air tour - and therefore certainly get an even bigger push. Rightly.
