Ever since the release of the first single "Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Super Town" you could imagine: with VENOMOUS COUNCIL REGENERATION VENDOR is a super hot groovy album on us. And yes, Rob Zombie has actually done it. With its latest plate he has a best, if not brought its the best album of his career on the market. Both of the lyrics, as well as musically is FBBF a grenade and just plain fun. The opener "Teenage Pussy Nosferatu" is a slow, very diabolical-sounding song like only Rob Zombie could conceive him. "Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Super Town" is a homage to the 1A garage rock of the 70s and 80s, while "Revelation Revolution" a very very slight Metallica and Industrial-Vibe has. "Theme for the Rat Vendor" is a coherent, one minute between players with oriental sound. With "Ging Gang Gong Gong De Do De Laga Raga" (now I can even memorize the title), it goes a little towards the White Zombie. The lyrics are very crazy and very scratched Robs vocals and mixed noisy. With "Rock and Roll (In A Black Hole)" Zombie delivers something completely new from. The track has a slow, gloomy and quite atmospheric trance beat - so much electronics it has never been in Zombie. "Behold, The Pretty Filthy Creatures" is a fast, rough and very entertaining song with light White Zombie Vibe and Vibe 70's-end. "White Trash Freaks" is a typical Rob Zombie song with good industrial beat. "We're An American Band" is a very power full tribute from Rob on the band Grand Funk Railroad, of which he has the song namely gecover. "Lucifer Rising" should be a favorite for the live shows. Fast, hard, crazy - a hearty Hard Rock song as he stands in the book. "The Girl Who Loved the Monsters" is again a slower and very dark song goes quickly into his ear before the album with "Trade In Your Guns For A Coffin", probably the tribute to Alice Cooper, coming to an end.
VENOMOUS COUNCIL REGENERATION VENDOR is a bomb of album and I hope that many copies will go as the original over the counter. Both the music and the booklet, cover, etc. are worth it. Even people whom Educated Horses and Hellbilly Deluxe 2 less well liked FBBF should give a chance.
