Hab now already the second RC304, the first has been sent back unrepaired from the RM service partners, because supposedly no error was found ... that wanted me 43 euros to permit verification .... Rasenroboter bought at an Austrian construction and garden shop. Arriving home, unpacked and read the very detailed installation instructions. Well, that can not be that hard ... I thought at least.
Our Garden: approximately 280 square meters in a rectangular shape, with a maximum 10% gradient in one of the corners, starting about the middle of the garden and a couple of dents by terrace, planters, etc. The lawn last fall has been newly created, limited with concrete edge strips and Mähkanten, is (was added later) grown fairly tight and the first cut was made this year with a Motormährer to facilitate laying the boundary wire.
Okay, so then, according to installation instructions charged the Robomow and placed in the meantime, the base station, relocated boundary wire using the supplied RoboRuler, all inner corners designed with 45 °, connected everything and started full of anticipation, the installation routine on the mower.
And since the problems started. The first two points (find the charging station and fix this) folded still wonderful. The next step, the "follow the boundary wire" made even more problems. Already at the first corner, the Robomow firmly. But it was not so, that would spin the wheels, it almost seemed as if the drive motors too little force to rotate the robotic mower. So it went from corner to corner until it was apparently the Robotic too stressful and installation mode has been canceled. Well well well.
So program the mowing time and intervals and off you go ....... No it does not. The wheels spin on the charging station so that the mower does not come out by itself. It is frustrating to watch the Robomow as he toils. As mentioned, the gradient has a maximum of 10%. The rest of the lawn is now 10cm high and at the favorite place of the mower I have no more grass ...
So at the moment I'm pretty disappointed and perplexed and thankful for every tip, so my 1100 Euros expensive plastic part at last doing what it should ..... lawn mowing. But what has us excited, the operating noise of the mower, which is namely a whisper.
Maybe he works on a perfectly flat, level turf, the perfect square without trees, slope or other disturbances, for me anyway is nothing at all.
