Except for this Freeway, I had already possessed a few years, the other new, so a direct comparison may be too little Ungungsten this Rotring KS as the other pins not yet had to prove itself long in use, but this already.
+ The pen is very robust and stable. He has fallen a couple of times down and despite his considerable (for one pin) weight, it is completely intact.
+ Also, the clip for shirt or spiral notebook is one of its greatest strengths: thanks to a clever mechanism allows the clip open wide without auszuleiern over time, or even cancel.
- Appearance: after some time, the color / metal coating began on the brass core in the anterior segment to replace. The pen was indeed older but still with the 1st Kulimine in operation. Which brings us to the next point of criticism
- The Kulimine (otherwise the write super) began at the very back end leak and bonded during drying then internally the print mechanism so that the mine exit only with a lot of strength and not let retract readily.
- The metal is, especially in winter, cold for the first few minutes and uncomfortable (thick metal coat + cold fingers ...).
- The weight is a bit high but certainly individual attitude thing.
- The metal handle, even though the diameter is not too small, feels hard and small: there are only a small contact surface / contact point with your fingers. This allows the pin slightly uncomfortable during extended use / be painful.
For shorter missions I use the pen still happy (with new mine) in my notebook, for longer writing exams but the Faber-Castell, because it clearly separates better just in terms of ergonomics.
