If there is a "commercial" AC / DC album, then this. This is partly due to the singalong-compatible songs ("Thunderstruck"), catchy melodies ("Money Talks", "Goodbye & Good ...") and the 1990 slick sound. Reprimand The album therefore a failure, but would be wrong. "Thunderstruck" is not a 08/15 AC / DC song like "Flick of the Switch" (so not a bad album!) And with the metallic, unfortunately undervalued title track and the masher "Are you ready" are two more highlights on it , "If you dare" is downright innovative for AC / DC. It is certainly not the best Aussie disc. I would even say that it is similar to Metallica's Black Album behaves here: The plate is less what for old fans, as well as much more mainstream suitable and also fits in there's shelf where rather shallower things stand. Nevertheless: The album has no low blows. And rocking all times better than dry Rubin production "Ball Breaker" or the yawning "Stiff Upper Lip". The plate also shows that Phil Rudd is indeed bedrock and number 1, but certainly not a must on drums. Due to lack of roughness there are only four stars, albeit with a clear minus.
