After due to the hot days my Boxed - CPU - cooler assuming the volume of an airplane and a pleasant working environment on the PC was so impossible, I decided after a long search for the Grand Kama Cross. The shipment was carried out quickly and smoothly through Amazon and I thought the article the next day in my hands. My first impression: wow, is huge! Compared with my old cooler of GKC affects absolutely slaying and dominated him in length and width to multiples (who wants a comparison: the GKC is about as high and as wide as a normal Fineliners!). Apart from the actual cooler also thermal compound (no pad, but liquid) and brackets are also sent for different base. The installation in my system (AMD Athlon X2 6000+ Socket AM2, Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H, 3GB of RAM, a front fan, a fan in the rear part and a side fan, the CPU -. Powered fan with fresh air [this was even after installing the GKC remain in the system) took place without further problems. After removing the CPU and the boxed - fan (where the separation of the CPU by the fan as the hardest part turned out ^^) the appropriate bracket was screwed to the GKC. The CPU has been cleaned from the old thermal pad and after installation with being sent with thermal compound thin (!) Coated. This was followed by the arrest of the new fan, with a little more force to Einsapnnen was necessary because of the GKC would (certainly due to its weight) sitting otherwise not tight enough. The computer started smoothly after installation and without errors (which occur should: Check all cables again and see if the fan was also connected to the motherboard, otherwise helps yes the great Suchmaschiene ^^). To make a comparison with the old coolers were the revolutions of the fan (RPM) and the temperature of the CPU during the game (Counter-Strike: Source, 1,920 x 1,080, all settings on High) with Everest Ultimate measured. Result after half an hour to play: CPU - 42 ° (previously: 71 °), RPM 1021 (previously: 5108 [!!!]).
