The answer is: And how!
In my view, the new soundtrack even better than the first, and got from me already five stars. Aside from the familiar Titelhema succeed Djawadi a good mix of familiarity and freshness.
It is striking that in the second season obviously more is fought, which is reflected also in the individual pieces. Whether this "Wildfire", "Don t the with a clean sword" or "Stand and fight" and "Three Blasts" (bleak, bleak ...) relates to - here is tumbled and gedräut with pounding percussion and synth sounds what keeps the stuff. The topic of "The King Road" from the first soundtrack is here again some reminiscences, for example in "The Throne is mine". Also comes a musical theme Danarys Targaryen in "Mother of Dragons" familiar.
Really new is there then the theme of the Lannisters - in all its glory in the very deep sung "The Rains of Castamere" to hear (!) - And underpinned element severally in other pieces. Even songs like "Valar Morghulis", "winter coat", "What Is Dead May Never Die" and "Warrior of Light" set entirely new standards.
Those who have seen the series, will access and once again plunge into individual scenes.
And who does not - for the true as the very first time:
Best suited for tuning until the Bluray comes.
