Second Winner

For several years now I am a convinced bearer of special boot socks, especially when it comes to my army boots.
In the service, the good old BW socks were still not good enough, but tasted blood I had when I ransacked my credit account with the uniform store to resign and some brand socks were there. The brand unfortunately I do not remember exactly, it was even knee-high socks ohen inscription there and once half-height with the inscription "Ultimax". Since 2008 already I wear socks whenever I pull my Botten on his feet. They still hold.
Because I mainly for about a year carrying nearly only boots, I needed some extra pair of socks, because the "normal socks" the claims were not enough to comfort and climate.
I bought the trekking socks by Falke TK1 that Woolpower 400g / m² men's socks, and the Meindl Air Revolution, this preselection I met (just google: Boot Socks test) using an online test report.

The Woolpower is in my personal vote in second place behind the Meindl.
Completely black and without the division into different woven and knitted zones he makes an inconspicuous impression initially. The wearing comfort is first pleasantly soft, it really goes on air. Because of the thickness you glide moderately well in the boots. This stocking stretches slightly at the toes. This reveals a flaw: if you slightly pull the stocking back, you can see the top of the toe a thin knitted strips of gapes slightly. Combined with the relatively poor lubricating properties ie: there arise the first holes, and if you do not often cuts the toenails, also quite fast. The whole thing is probably the ventilation.
Surprisingly, the thick socks the foot heats up not as strong as I would have suspected that. The foot climate is good in warm weather, the foot stays dry. Sweat to get probably only in long marches, and on the other hand no socks is always immune.

All in all a pretty good stocking, which is better than its exterior would suggest. Is not it enough to my top model but zoom.
