The clear winner is the sound Envaya Mini. This judgment is based on a mixed playlist of 20 songs, but is of course subjective. For objective measurements "oluv" has created numerous videos on his blog and detailed reviews. I would like rather to describe what the Envaya Mini different from the other devices tested or the conditions under which the competitors are better.
- Sound: as I said, the decisive criterion for me. Subjectively was the Sony SRS-X3 with a total of significantly weaker depths and partly unclean centers of second winner. Close behind was then the Fugoo Sport. Both mentioned alternatives have the advantage that they cover more space, the Denon sounds worse when you sit on the side or behind.
- Battery Life: clearly a weak point. Depending on the volume of the Denon makes 4-8 hours. When it comes to maximum mobility is the Fugoo sports the better choice (allegedly 20-40 h Playback).
- Portability: the Denon is elongated and slim making it good in bags and backpacks stowed. He also acts stably processed so I have no objections to stuff it into a full bag. I would otherwise do only with the Fugoo Sport is built quite flat and also water / to be dustproof, making it for sports and excursions for better choice.
- Connection: I had not thought of it before, but the NFC connection makes life a lot easier. Handy hold off and even the speaker turns on and connected. Is there in the test otherwise only at Sony.
- Operation: there are exactly those controls that I need. Volume up / down, on / off, and Play / Pause. 2x on Play / Pause switch to the next track (via Bluetooth). Another button shows a red / green LED charge status. There are also initiated except Power On / Off and Bluetooth connection / completed no annoying sounds; no Biepen when changing the volume, for example, here are other speakers significantly overweight (Sony), minimalist (Logitech), or annoying (Fugoo).
On this list you can already see: the perfect speaker does not exist. In this respect, everyone has to decide how the speaker is to be used and what then is the right thing. I hope I could help you decide!
