Send headphones for acceptable price

After my HD 595 (50 ohm) has unfortunately ceased its services on the left channel, a minimum coequal replacement was needed. After several days of research, I decided again for a Sennheiser. The sequel to my old headphones, it should be. Therefore, the HD 595 is used as a comparison. That's why I can recommend the extensive testing of this model to anyone interested.

Appearance:

Unlike the HD 595, the HD 598 shines in classic elegant look of beige leather and burl wood. According to the price range the build quality is solid, the materials of course only imitations. Apart from a not very good seam detailing at the temple there but if one ascribes to the design in principle, no defects. The wearing comfort is the same as its predecessor, ie after a short he fits perfectly. However, at the beginning he sits a little tight, but this subsides quickly.

Sound:

In principle, it sounds like the HD 595er, but with the difference to be a touch better in all disciplines. In particular, the dynamics and localization ability have increased slightly. In the low frequency range it is powerful. This makes it sound more balanced. It is suitable for all kinds of music, but you should not be a friend of extreme bass, but this is normal in open dynamic headphones.
What I like best performance in "The Wall" by Pink Floyd. Classic Rock is the HD 598 in principle.

A total of 598 HD provides a "round" sound. Details are readily perceptible, as well as the position of the various instruments. However, he is not as analytically that every slightest mistake the recording is a clouding of music enjoyment. He is also quite good at dealing with low-bitrate MP3s. (192kbit / s but should nevertheless constitute the minimum)

I can recommend the Sennheiser HD 598 each, of no good headphones previously called his own.
A switch from the HD 595, I can recommend to those who expect a little more pressure in the bass range. Otherwise, not worth a transition, considering the extra cost, however.
