I had to try out the models from Olympus and Panasonic Ricoh before the Finder, but here the appropriate cameras had me not addressed to or from it.
About the processing and handling of the finder's report anything bad, for the price but probably a matter of course. In its original function, however, the viewfinder is a joke! Tiny, rough-pixliges image, it's just enough to aim the subject, otherwise the viewfinder too small (tunneling), too coarse, manual focusing is a matter of luck. In comparison, the acts themselves a few years old Ricoh EVF if not greater, but a finer resolution and color fidelity (special LCD technology, as years ago already the Kyocera M410R).
But the slap in the face is the comparison with the approximately the same old VF-2 Olympus, although it just as expensive, but better in every respect to classes here agree size, resolution, color effect, a grid is here wahrnehbar with difficulty. The VF-2 from Olympus can be safely classified as the current level of the LCD viewfinder. Now you might think, here are just different manufacturers to swing, you have to put up with to give. But this is where shows the brazenness of Panasonic, but they build themselves the VF-2 viewfinder almost equivalent in G1, G2, GH1, etc. a. How then could opt for this "quality" itself remains a mystery.
As a tip for those who love a good right viewfinder: Used Panasonic Lumix G1 are available as the Panasonic viewfinder alone already for the same or less money! And as they still offer an ingenious swivel display and the advantage of zustzlichen, compatible camera!
I certainly had both my LX-5 returned (tearfully) as well as the viewfinder and only times gained me a used G1. Meanwhile, I call a Olympus XZ-1 my own and enjoy with her the best EVF, which is currently available.
