Simply specify the required data (available on the device) back, describe circumstances of the loss and attach proof of purchase and return via e-mail, and already 24 later, another email from the settlement service with a package label for UPS. In the mail it Hies that after submitting it is decided whether the unit will be repaired or do I get reimbursed the value. Two weeks, I have heard nothing, but then a check with (almost) the whole purchase amount, a few euros were deducted for the value, but that was ok.
Conclusion: Uncomplicated processing, money came, so should an insurance function.
