But even a brief overview of positive and negative sides of the album:
Positives:
+ Em can largely ran new producer, which makes for great variety. Compared to the two predecessors (Encore and Relapse) often to monotony suffered a clear increase. In fact, recovery is the first Eminem album since years which sounds modern.
+ This annoying and ridiculous only in a negative sense accent, the Marshall used in the predecessor has disappeared! Em apologizes even in "Not Afraid" for it.
+ Joke numbers a la "Just Loose It" or "We Made You" are thankfully no longer exist, instead he distributed hard, lurid lyrics in songs that can be taken seriously.
+ Em shows his skills (Double-Time Rhymes, etc.) and one he notices that again really fun music has to make.
Negatives:
-I Do not know if I'm the only one of this opinion is, however: Emirates can not sing! He knows, too, although can be found on this album masse vocals, which are sometimes difficult to endure and make a few songs almost broken. I hope he learns more.
-The Lyrical level. Although not part of the one of the biggest weaknesses, but one is already used to better from Em. The usual wit mixed with personal views, he does not lack indeed, still predominate here the typical (unfortunately typical) Battle Rhymes ("S * ck my d * ck" is more often than average before) and wiedergutmachungsverpsrechen to the fans. In moderation, even that would not have been bad, but he overdoes it with time.
-Dünne Production. Really big rumbling beats are simply on a hip-hop album. Yet through the thin production remains one of a largely denied. Only rarely (eg "So Bad") is printed right on it.
My highlights on this album are:
"No Love": Take Haddaways "What is Love?" tinker it a big beat and take an Eminem leading off it in murderous speed and perfect is an absolute hit. Not even Lil Wayne, which I personally think is not, can not do what broken. My recommendation as the next single.
"Not Afraid": A wise decision to take the first single. Has a serious song with atmospheric beat and one of Eminem, apparently enjoying life and wants to encourage others.
"Talkin '2 Myself": Thank God accepts Kobe here singing. Because of this and another blast beat a highlight.
"Will not Back Down": One can of P! Nk keep what you want, but here it controls at a good chorus and adheres otherwise thankfully back!. The beat drops out rather rocky and stings so forth in a positive sense. By the way: The place from 3:30 is all quiet. Did he allow s little joke).
"Going Through Changes": For me as a real Metal disciples it's basically a sacrilege that here Black Sabbath's "Changes" is sampled. But the end result sounds very good. Respect.
"25 to Life": One of the most diverse numbers on the album. Begins with a very nice guitar sample and later submit to next synthesizers even a string.
"So Bad": The only produced by Dr.Dre song with pounding beat and a exceptionally successful vocal of Em.
"Untitled": On the hidden track (yes, there is a * spoiler *) Skin Em again properly pure and hurls a rhymes just so around the ears.
So much for my highlights, but really weak songs on Recovery eh not exist. If anything then would count it, because these are relatively unspectacular Technically beat and the vocals are simply atrocious "Cold Wind Blows" and just Ems tribute to Proof "You're Never Over".
Nevertheless, recovery is good, because modern disk by Eminem who does not deserve the highest rating, but 4 stars because of the above-mentioned negative points for me.
