Let's start with the positives, first the design is pretty neat and the finishes are themselves more than adequate compared to other mini-chains. Mine has no manufacturing defects. This mini system also offers us a fairly good sound, with powerful depth. The major problem comes, as already mentioned, the CD player that is a real disaster. Random hissing when playing CD and above the drive motor itself is quite noisy, which can quickly become painful when listening at low volume, for example at night. After a little more than 3 years of use (2 hours per day minimum), the CD player makes the soul and worth reading CDs in a few tracks! Otherwise the two auxiliary inputs are convenient but the amp is a bit feeble to render a correct volume. The USB input is also convenient but can quickly block if you zap a little quickly from one song to another. Finally the radio can store 20 stations but only the FM frequency. For myself adjusting the volume is not great either, it is unbalanced from one level to another.
Finally the big defect, and opinions seem common, is the CD player, which is not nothing! Hard to understand how Philips engineers were able to miss such a huge default! And that's a pity because Philips offered us here a mini-string rather pretty with an interesting sound. This defect may be corrected in the following versions of the series but not MCM wanted to test ...
