This model combines all the advantages I found in my original Actifry in a more suitable format for my kitchen and good enough for two people:
- All removable components, including the cover and the filter are dishwasher-safe. Convenience is UNBEATABLE!
- The window remains clean and you can monitor the progress of the cooking without any problems;
- The basket is easy to handle with its folding handle (so, no funny business in the dishwasher ...).
I even found two really great improvements over older models:
- Seb uploaded a ring species (removable, so washable :-)) that attaches to the edge of the basket / dish, therefore gradually as the blade rotates to stir fries or food, he n 'there are more small pieces that may pass between the basket and the body of the device. It is downright thoughtful and much cleaner, there is no photo !!!
- Timer side, there is now a button - ("minus"), so when selecting the cooking time, if we put too short, you can go back, which was not possible on other models (at least the one I had before).
Now for the fries if you're wondering, yes, the taste may seem a different coat of "real" chips bathed in oil, and again! Personally, me it does not really shocked me ...
For the preparation time, some indicative times are given in the "logbook", but it is necessarily always better to test yourself, watching a bit the first time. Hence the handy transparent window, hey hey! And for eyeglass wearers, no fog !!!! ;-) And where the interest can also open during cooking appliance to taste a fried (be careful not to burn yourself!) That's less obvious with a conventional fryer !!!
Good advice not to end up with a longer cooking time to the booklet: remember to rinse your fries (to remove excess starch that tends to impede the cooking) and wring them. More will be wet, and they will put to cook, it is obvious (or not!) ...
When many respects these instructions, we have a good batch of fries and no disappointment. Just a tip: when you feel that your chips are ready, not Avoid dragging! If you leave them hanging around too long, they will be drier and less tasty ...
The device also comes with a recipe booklet (it'll normal fries goulash, through tikka masala chicken, satay chicken or Thai soup ...). No limits to the imagination!
