She's a Lady

She's a Lady

Bayonetta 2 (video game)

Customer Review

She's back - Bayonetta, the lady with the magic powers. Deliberately alluded here to Sailor Moon, because how could this series (and this is now officially Bayonetta!) Better described as "Devil May Cry meets Sailor Moon"?

Unfortunately for some gamers this reunion is but unlike hoped. But if we are honest, then the console should be no matter what a series is continued. At the very least should be the case when there would otherwise be no goodbye. So away with the Egoproblemen that you respect some consoles - are finally here it comes to a game and games, what unites us gamers!

Enough Getänzel to actually unimportant things - into the fray's! And since Bayonetta does once more nothing, because without large Geplänker starts the outrageous story downright fully by, with wacky action and the scenes often called "to versext" designated. But Bayonetta, so our female heroine, are once again nothing on the whole sexism debate, but is aware at all times conscious of her digital body and their poses. You will not leave anyone remember that she is a sex object only in the beginning. No, she's the mistress, she determined what how expires ... And this time the get not only the powers of heaven, but also the demons of hell to feel.

As we are then already in the story, by the way, is linked directly to the predecessor. Who does not know the - what you can suspect at Nintendo-only players - gets for some extra cash in the first part of a revised version of the same with this. Good move, because I take the liberty to say that one should know the first part already, not only because you then have learned something from the world of "Umbra Witch".

As in the first part of the main game consists mainly of the minimum exploration of wonderful worlds and the terrific fights on the assembly line. Where permanent Klopperei can be visually monotonous, Bayonetta shows once again that the does not have to be so, what is the really well-developed combat system and the almost unlimited possibility of attacks that can be set by different weapon combinations for hands and feet (!) Due, ,

Butterweich go complicated combinations for small tutorials by hand and by increasing the amount of opponents through the realm of demons to fight rarely over a longer period against the same targets. But the main highlight of the combat system is still the "Witch Time", ie "Witch Time". If he deviates from shortly before the enemy hit to slow the onslaught of enemies for a few seconds and our Witch Lady can continue to attack the normal pace and thereby kick butt damage. This quite minimalist system with these few rules, leading to one of the absolute highlights when it comes to fighting in Action.

Better yet: Even when the game is operated via touch control is fighting to overcome. It just works - perhaps because it is simple basically. However, I would advise against the Touch Control. Not only because combos are performed automatically and it is sufficient in principle to tap the opponent, but also because you, you thereby certainly always looks on the small display and thus you lose much of the optics.

The course is no PS4 or ONE, certainly no PC graphics. BUT: It is crisp, it is soft, it is beautiful. And in comparison with the first-some worlds more! Because some people can still so much talk of "old graphic framework" - the game looks pretty, round and simply consistent from - point!

Criticism it needs more likely in several cutscenes that are told once again in marginal animated stills. I found the optics in Filmschnippseln in the first part better, but can not complain because otherwise. It's a matter of taste and I find it quite okay. Perhaps almost necessary because the otherwise fast-paced action overwrought?

Sonically, I can not complain. Big plus is once again the speaker, which has mainly get from the first part. Who (not "too British" British English, but) do not like the English dub, which can switch the Japanese voices.
The music also follows on seamlessly from the predecessor to. "Fly me to the Moon" is one but not hear constant noise. But friends "old" music also come at their expense. I say because sometimes only "Moon River", where "Fly me to the Moon" sounded better to my ears.
And now bleating at a high level: the spoken "Bayonetta" jingle I'd like left intact, but that really can not spoil my fun now.

I can continue the game really exclude, but I want to continue playing at the chest and back. Bayonetta 2 is the expected Action fireworks and without Nintendo I would not get a second offshoot. Whether the game will sell better than the first part was once an open question, but Nintendo has expanded its portfolio significantly bolstered and really offers a clear favorite in the "Game of the Year". The addition of the first part is not unwise, and one can only hope that the inclined Action friend might now but a Wii considering U - all other Wii U owners should panting looking for action titles but access all the cases, because although the game so scary is japanophil, so does that also on the system of a Japanese Taditionsunternehmens. And if we are honest: I think Bayonetta feels the Mushroom Kingdom and Hyrule quite well what is seen not only in their costumes.

A compulsory piece for virtually any Wii U library!
