"Diggin in the Dirt" gave a good foretaste of the music that would expect the listener with Heinz's third studio album. For me, the opening track "Fire" already is a highlight. Direct with the first passages reveals a mature, adult become an artist. A really quiet song that gradually develops and entrain the handset can.
After first listening to the CD I had the impression that the sound is Steffi got rockier. Songs like "Show me the way" or "Coming Up For All" are extremely groovy in their mix of soul and funk with pop-rock strikes. Although I must confess that last-mentioned the second and third ear needed me to find favor because of the staccato chorus knew occasionally annoying.
With the louder songs Stefanie Heinzman reconfirmed what their fans have known for a Master Plan: The Swiss makes really good music.
But the loneliness (Everyone's Lonely) and the self-discovery (Home To Me - fabulously well) that come along in the quiet melodies garb, popping neatly. Nevertheless, I think that Stefanie Heinzmann has its strong moments with up-tempo numbers. Be it the hint of the 70 songs "This Old Heart Of Mine" and "Is not No Way" (the beginning of the chorus sounds a lot like "Is not No Mountain High Enough") or the pop-funky "Second Time Around ": the voice, the lyrics and the melodies vote. I find it particularly brilliant "Numb The Pleasure" - that really rocks!
I was already on the previous albums an enthusiastic supporter. Stefanie Heinzmann has her singing and their sound evolved, the rousing nature and the diversity maintained, so that the 13 (or 15 in the Deluxe Edition) Songs not sound the same, but each track by itself offers an exciting listening experience.
The enclosed booklet contains the lyrics of all songs and can convince with photos of sweet Swiss. The bonus DVD of the Deluxe Edition is a hilarious road trip through the USA, the music video of Diggin In The Dirt, the associated Making-Of and a studio session with a maturity of all four extras totaling 30 minutes. "Old Flame" and "Home To Me" are the two bonus tracks which should enjoy the inclined fan, if he / she is ready to grab a little deeper into their pockets - but worth it.
For the third time shows Stefanie Heinzmann, that it is the (musical) hottest export from Switzerland. And point.
