A new EP Magma? Inspired by a piece that was regularly played but never properly recorded in a studio environment? With a sticker "A Jazz Metal Symphony" surprises still a little? Inevitably, one asks to listen ... Obviously, there immediately recognizes a Magma whose strong musical identity is proven, a Magma uncompromising also where tribal choruses, rhythmical balancing (Vander drummer is a huge, what you already know all) and go dark concert. Always between (free) jazz, progressive rock, contemporary music but, this time, a rarely heard heaviness, Vander & Cie offer a suite that is already known to all those who attend live performances of training (live or not) , keeps all these promises in its studio version. With good performances of each of the instrumentalists (special mention to the guitarist James Mac Graw almost remember the excellent Steve Hillage), a real atmosphere in which it is good to get caught. A reproach? Oh yes, it really is too short! And if not? If you like Magma or rock that continues to grow, you will not be disappointed. In a word a thousand, despite the exaggeration of Jazz Metal Symphony, because there is not really, of Magma as Slag Tanz, we want more!
