Short, good, but not outstanding point & click adventure in an interesting setting

- First Impression -
From the presentation of the box her somehow been a typical "Old School" Adventure. Has been missing between postcards crochet and other gimmicks really only the hinged cover on the cardboard slipcase. This used to be a common practice, when it came to really quality games. I find it interesting fact above all that I have ever times unconsciously missed for the first time after many years this feature. It would thus fit into the picture ... but the whole game is a nice foil made memory of old times - when one still has so squandered with Monkey Iceland, The Dig, Broken Sword nights.
The game itself is in the style of those same Point & Click Adventures therefore, perhaps something visually-quality, but definitely "old school" - which I find very beautiful. With Daedalic products (Deponia & Co), the game can not compete ... I felt more reminiscent of Machinarium ... and a lot of other indie games, which can be found at Steam, Humblebundle & Co. It was there but you pay for an adventure this design no 29 (cardboard slipcase or not), but only 10. That to me is engraved at the very beginning in the eye, is sometimes really not a compliment, but hey ... it's like that. In times when I have to shell out for adult Adventures of Daedalic only 20 are +/- 30 Real for a niche product of a government-sponsored by the MFG Baden-Württemberg Newcomer studios something much. But I take the essentials ahead already ... maybe I should be the actual point of criticism, which I noticed later, already mentioned at this point: The Time. It extends even felt even for the heading "First Impression", because the game was over for scarce 7 hours. Over and out. As you wonder at all the nostalgia, what you spent your money?

- Delivery -
A Game. A wonderful game in itself. On a disk, yes. In a box of cardboard, which raises nostalgia. All in beautiful packaging. (You wonder now, when again comes the but ... it comes right eventually ...)

- Features -
BUT - seriously: The manufacturer advertises itself with 325 (at least!) Details and the world of Asposien is designed highly detailed and beautiful indeed. All this is beyond question. For his money, you get an interesting, fairy-tale story that needs to be ... but if you play through consistently certainly not after 7 hours ago, then it will be the ... after 5 or 6 hours maybe. Who the pure play time no matter (such people, there must be, otherwise would be the "Call of Duty" games all dead stock), which here provides an interesting opportunity to make even a newcomer studio a chance and not to be disappointed , Evil tongues would say now perhaps "little disappointed", considering the season. But that is pretty much my only problem with the game.
The usability is good, the puzzles are okay (not to say "typical") and the story is interesting and undoubtedly the graphics appealing. But what one inevitably wants, that's more. More of everything. More bizarre puzzles, more about the main character Robert, more kind of the artwork and generally much longer story.
Even if I sound a bit negative here, so is the nagging at a high level. Let us not forget that "The Inner World" already in its current form is ranked at the level of Daedelic - even if the crazy humor of Daedalic is not quite ... "The Inner World" is indeed more in the children Youth-entertainment division and not quite on the level of crude Daedalic down.

- Particularities -
A special feature is the extensive help function that facilitates entry. Given the short season, the pleasant game world and the logical puzzles, is "The Inner World" is not only a tribute to days gone by, but a good introduction to the genre. For initial Adventurer quite recommendable.

- After a week -
... I had the game certainly through gambled the second or third time you do not Bioshock Infinite and Satinav's chains had claimed time. If you set up and therefore is "The Inner World" once again disappeared in the drawer. But may change again in the (long) winter. The replayability motivation is not there yet (which is that I find the characters funny, but I do not really "identify with" me with them it was) - but even that might come.

- Conclusion -
An Adventure for beginners and for Wistful. Who has long played no more adventure or - like me - just "besides everything else" Monkey Iceland to 33 1 by playing / 3sten time for is "The Inner World" a light diet which simultaneously satisfies nostalgia and the desire for something new. Overall, I'm on good 4 stars, but with the mortgage that I felt ... about the difficult ... let assessing value in mind. 30 are definitely not a price I would pay for a product of this style and this genre yet. Unfortunately, the days are gone.
