Customer Review

A great lens - I had never, in many years and a wide variety of cameras and lenses, such a sharp and flawless glass. It seems that Sigma is here something special succeeded - F = 2.8 and at this price! The AF is very fast and very quiet.
If you want mäckeln, one must probably go to a lab to find something - perhaps someone with Blosen eye
discovered the eyes like an eagle has. It's a good feeling with this lens to photograph and to know it's just fine - even at maximum aperture. Though I myself am very critical - I'm thrilled. In all tests known to me it intersects with the grade "very good". That does not even make comparable glasses from Zeiss or Leica and this lying at prices above the multiples of sigma.
A few small suggestions to Sigma: Optically without sun visor sees the front part of not just prikelnd. The very broad focus ring can be very beautiful, silicone damped move - even if it is very smooth. The clatter of the lens when moving it switched off, does not constitute a malfunction according to Sigma - if you know it, it does not bother much. Since the lens on my camera pretty tired sitting and some torque requires the rigid rear part of the lens is very narrow and slippery and it is not easy to attach the lens to the camera.
A very big plus: Sigma is the lens 3 years warranty and provides it with sun visor and a soft gepolstereten quiver with a good running zipper and a device so you can carry the containers on the belt. In quiver is a small cushion if you take out there, loose fits a 14-140mm or 14-150mm Lumix- Olympus lens.
The lens is without a stabilizer - it is advisable to have a steady hand in low light or even better a tripod - it is after all a lightweight telephoto (120mm / KB).
Supplement: Meanwhile, I have the lens which has a very well-functioning stabilizer in the case of an Olympus OM E-M1 - because the lens comes into its own fully. Another experience: you screwed front of the lens, for example, a close-up lens (Please declare a achromatic) eg Marumi 52mm (+5) / + adapter ring 46-52mm you can then get closer and possibly save you an expensive macro lens. As is known, remains with the conversion lenses aperture of the lens and get the Marumi achromatic I can not see any artifacts.
The supplied sunshade can incidentally also be fitted with conversion lens - and vice versa. If the focal length fits, now my favorite lens.
By the way one experiences at SIGMA a fast, competent and friendly service - what Sony is mostly a nuisance, for example.
