I am very happy since 1998 with this kettle. However, there were also, as with other disintegration on the lid. I turned to the Fa. Petra-electric GmbH because of the problem. It was told that vinegar and citric acid can be porous the plastic over time. They recommended Durgol special descaler.
Above all, it was possible to order a new cover. Unfortunately, there was not him in white but in black. It works, and I'm happy again.
