After my old Petra-kettle gave up after 20 years (below is blown from now on equal to the ground - could have been stupid), I wanted to definitely go back a Petra! After I had about 4 weeks occupied me with reviews on kettle but I have then taken the Severin and am really happy. The material is no longer like before, the yes all want one soon which buys new. The plastic and the metal both are thinner. It was important that no plastic parts are inside - what the Severin has not. After 2 weeks, no more plastic odor is present. He cooks relatively quickly and no louder than my old. The lid has a strong spring in it, but what is really ok -. It does wear out determined over time by itself you can open the lid almost entirely, so that the pot can still be filled well! The carriage handle is below the handle and seems to be really stable because nothing wobbles me. As the material is not quite as good, the boiler has received below the same the second time around cooking, five dark spots that are not gone back. Cable is ok and long enough. By rubber feet scratches, slips and wobbles nothing. The star deduction is only available for the material that is no longer as good as before (but now everywhere). I'm really pleased and can recommend it.
