Unlike the original injector Mobotix this can here indeed replace uncrossed patch cable, but it costs only about 20% and has otherwise no cons.
The box comes with a modern switching power supply and power supply neither this nor the injector become warm during operation, so shall also not unnecessarily burned energy.
