After much compare we chose the Workx SOS5. It lights up the surrounding area very well, is dimmable (in rooms or tents not need full power) and has a handy wrist strap. Since it is made of aluminum and water resistant, it can also accompany our kids to camp etc., with 12.5 cm length it does not take much space in your backpack away. As remote spotlight she is not very suitable (not focussierbar), as I said, more for interiors and around the tent ...
The switch looks solid and makes a rich sound when switching. Dimming works like this: go to the switch, it remains, the lamp dims continuously down to 10% and then flashes to indicate that it has reached the 10% (the luminous intensity 100-10% is freely determined by the date on the you release the button again).
The bottom line is exactly what we wanted (and found) have: a simple, compact, robust, bright, dimmable flashlight. According to the manufacturer the lamp up to 110 hours. Unlike its bigger sisters SOS6 or SOS7 can operate with standard AAA batteries which SOS5 yet.
