I use the Canon PowerShot G15 for the moments when the SLR is simply too large.
The G15 is compared to the G11 a real step forward.
Positive compared to G11:
+ Faster shutter speed
+ Brighter Lens
+ More scene modes
+ Slimmer
+ Lighter
+ Diary function
+ HDR images
+ Faster autofocus
All in all, I am more than satisfied with the new.
But to also remain somewhat critical and objective, now a two points that I did not like compared to the old G11. The display is in the G15, unfortunately, does not swivel. The swiveling display of the G11 was always very practical for macro shots, photos of head and just in all Stuationen if you want to have control over the ntstehende photo without which one can look directly at the display. It was a knock-out criterion for me in my first search. But take the quality of the photos, the size, the weight, the manual controls, fast autofocus and the possibility of video in Full HD made this point to the I can live.
The camera works all in all very valuable. The surface is very rough which affects handling positively by their besndere structure.
I award a strong buy recommendation for the Canon PowerShot G15.
Those who are not sure they should just once try to make sure that it is simply one of the best (if not the best) is equipment on the market of this size.
