About the story itself:
Stephanie tries (as was to be expected) to save all possible ways to skulduggery; the key here is his head, as this could serve as an anchor Isthmus. However, there are again new risks inherent to one of Dusk and co., But also by some new parties, the goofy Scapegrace gets back its part of course ^^. But Stephanie is indeed not alone, but receives strong support from their friends Tanith, ghastly and the newcomer Fletcher; Solomon also Kranz grabs again with ...
(For spoilers about anything I hear at this point prefer to ;-)
To work in:
I was pleasantly surprised that the quality is not decreased as with most books that go beyond the threshold of a trilogy, but on the contrary was even better.
If I had the volumes on a scale of 1-10 classify, would strip 1 with me so on 9, Volume 2 at 7, Volume 3 of 8 and this one at 10th
There are several reasons:
1 .: The story this time was quite complex, so you could not believe that in such a comparatively medium thick book (400 pages in the English version in the German then ca 330) can be told as much; which does not mean that the story is down roughly and without details.
2 .: Also a lot of humor and the like has been repackaged.
3 .: The "action scenes" are not repeated in construction, so boredom did not come on with me.
4 .: The end of course was open again, but this time very "on-the-torture-thrilling" (I'd almost won already as contra, because it is so frustrating o_O)
For those who have not started this series, which I can only put it to my heart, so I am 18 years old and it can all the fantasy books like only recommend.
For all other the already enthusiastic supporters are, (and are the powerful English) I would advise perhaps also the English version to read times as many puns and jokes in German did not come across as planned by Derek Landy. (The name listen to better, I mean Valkyrie balance ?? wtf? Valkyrie Cain sounds much better ...) The English really is kept relatively simple, I would almost dare to say that English textbooks are much more difficult (the could of course be due to the motivation xD).
PS: Derek Landy writes at the end of the book that he is writing time 2 books in one year and indeed will strip 5 already in September 2010,
yes 2010, I have not prescribed me ^^, appear! Hurray
