Not the newest work, it's a great concept, which can be achieved by listening to track 1 to 16 and a roller coaster ride like. The quieter passages do the same mood as the fast / loud / intensive.
I'm glad that Slipknot has roused despite lost band members on this album. It's a hell-ride strong.
Especially I noticed that a lot of attention was paid to the atmosphere generated by noises / sounds. Taylor's voice sometimes quiet whisper, sometimes loud (as in a narrow space with laughter) diabolical speaks to you or simply loudly goes off to you for a quiet building.
Many fans dislike it, that it was not hard enough or Iowa hardness, I would have not fallen, since Vol. 3 it is clear that Slipknot can mix and fantastic choruses and melodic vocals with harsh tones, and in its own way and manner. If I want the very hard serving, I put up again purely Iowa.
But that's for me SlipKnot 2014!
1. XIX 7/10
Smooth entry into the album, the ever builds up and ends in nothing! Pur atmosphere.
2. Sarcastrophe 8/10
Very strong first song. Loud, aggressive, brings us a sense of Slipknot.
3. AOV 7/10
Also a typical Slipknot-loud song, but with sung chorus, this does not convince completely, but to good 80%.
4. The Devil In I 9/10
I think the song great, a little atypical because the verses behave very quiet and can be a lot of time, but the gloom and the Mitbrüll chorus is just amazing.
5. Killpop 10/10
Personal highlight. Very quiet song, cool melody, the text fits perfectly into the concept album. Could have been a Balade, but is fortunately not, especially at the end it gets surprisingly sic.
6. Skeptic 8/10
Slipknot at scheduled times, fast song, horny paid tribute to a lost "motherf *****". Skeptic! Skeptic! Skeptic !!! Like.
7. Lech 5/10
Not my song, can not exactly describe why, but every album has to be hate-piece, and this simply is not catched me here. Profundity decreased significantly by Skeptic.
8. Goodbye 8/10
Surprisingly good! I thought after the title, which is weaker commodity. Is damn quiet, but towards the end, much louder. And later also melodically strong accompanied with bell sounds.
9. Nomadic 9/10
A quite significant and beautiful text mixed with the tough style. Super Chorus! And the verses I listen really very happy.
10. The One That Kills The Least 6/10
Hmmm, Refrain not my case. Rest true per se. My highlight of the song is definitely the solo guitar part.
11. Custer 9/10
Have so many heard in advance, hard, hard, hard. Especially as gedrummed wenns starts Cut, cut, cut me up and F *** me up. If a concert classics!
12. Be Prepared For Hell 8/10
Compares favorably to The Negative One, so not a real song, but scary enough so that the track is never geskipped.
13. The Negative One 10/10
What an aggro-track. Each already known, for me the clear Slipknot-is-back song. The Lord of Lies!
14. If Rain Is What You Want 8/10
Very quiet song, but enough power to behind to be a dreary crap. Reasonable conclusion for the album, which has indeed begun quietly. Lets end well.
15. Override 9/10
Bonus song 1 again more in Vol. 3 style, knows how to please. Beautifully spacious and quiet after the completion of the album again a kind of addition alá Slipknot.
16. The Burden 10/10
And the second bonus track is completely to my taste, all play their instruments absolutely to the point and Corey remixed super melodic parts with malicious undertone.
So the bonus disc should be no lie, 2 excellent lookup songs are left otherwise lie. Just a pity that an extra CD was needed all would have liked a little better on a disc.
Nevertheless, I smile at the thought of 9/10 points for the latest Slipknot plant.
