In the photos it looks great and stable from when I got there, I could not believe how easy and almost fragile is this little device. But I gave him a chance, and I am very excited about the recording quality.
I took the music from an old electric organ by simply put the tape recorder with the little kickstand on the carpet, 50cm in distance approx. Perfect spatial sound (Leslie), good frequency response. Highs are clear, the centers show presence and bass can also be no slouch, even though it is rather inconspicuous. In addition I have all leveled manually, the automatic functions are to use more likely for conversational situations.
Finally, there will also be a dictaphone yes. I've also tried. Shots "out of hand" well within its capabilities, one hears little noise of the holding hand. Outdoors I have not tried it yet - but there is a wind noise suppression, which works electronically and therefore can not be as good as a mechanical protection.
The space is quite sufficient even without additional memory card for my needs with 4GB. The 4GB microSD I have to put on music. For the DVT 6000 is also a wonderful MP3 player. And not only that: FM radio is also on board. A well-rounded so.
Here are some notable points:
+ Very handy device with sufficiently large keys
+ Very easy to read color display
+ Simple, easy to learn operation
+ Great recording quality
+ Li-Ion battery lasts forever with a cargo
+ Input switchable mic / line in
+ Numerous automatic modes for dictation / discussions / interviews
- Battery can not be exchanged
- No tripod mount (who otherwise almost all)
- "Silent recording" does not work properly (the display remains lit).
I had been thinking well in advance to take the DVT 6500 with the remote, but it is as a Mitrezensent already wrote here: All have the same hardware and the same firmware. The 6500 is therefore not better suited for music recording, apart from the FB again. I also do not understand why in the list of Philips only the 6500 is referred to as Hi-Fi capable. Probably a marketing decision.
Conclusion: The DVT 6000 will definitely be my constant companion. It fits comfortably in your pocket, is stable, the operation is usually no mystery and the recording quality is above criticism. Strong buy recommendation.
EDIT: After less than three months, the unit will not turn back now. At the counter, it is not - it can be off. Even when the charger is connected, you can turn it on. Just not normal anymore. I get now, after some back and forth, a new Amazon. Hopefully this works a little longer ...
