I've been looking for a hedge trimmer for occasional use in the garden (box hedges and other shrubs). The Makita is because very fitting with 48cm cutting length. The knives are sharp and cut neatly, both blades running in opposite rows and cut very clean. The machine is pleasantly light and quieter than expected. The handles are ergonomically designed and not too thin or thick. Through two switch at the rear of the hedge trimmer can grow well and certainly in different cutting directions. As a little extra, there is a belt clip for hooking the extension cord, which makes secure cable routing a little easier. All in all a round offer to recommend for just below 80 EUR in any case.
Addendum: After a gardening season, the overall impression is still very good, only the belt clip keeps the cable not as strong as I would like it (ie it falls frequently from). The cleaning of the blades is simple, the cutting performance like the first day.
