With the gay science, Nietzsche shares with us his thoughts to live happily while conscious. Several of his major themes are addressed in this work, including the art, the death of God, the advent of Western nihilism, the herd instinct, the eternal return etc.
His clairvoyant texts swollen by lyricism and metaphors (sometimes difficult to assimilate) have an ambiguous goal: make us think, unclip our thinking, but Nietzsche warns against any notion of ownership of a thought, doctrine - which is not one - can not in any case be applied.
It is by knowing this ambiguity that reading should be done, because even if one is tempted to flatter and quote Nietzsche all the time because he's brilliant, he will keep in mind that Nietzsche disapproves these methods.
Nevertheless, the guy is amazing: visionary regarding morality and Christianity present on certain topics such as work, far too ahead of many things, man is out of phase, unique, fascinating (but watch again ).
It is a break with all other philosophers obsessed with the truth, he is wary of science which for him is a new form of belief, he admired the art, but above all he values life and puts the individual first plan. The men should be content to live happily, without the shackles they have accumulated through their own fault over the millennia.
Although it is impossible to agree with everything that is written in this book, the richness of style and extra-ordinary thinking of its author are a must work.
