Small lamp very large ...

I have a small terrier lady with whom I go for a walk a lot and often. Right now in the dark winter months is there a flashlight indispensable. My demands for such are lightweight, practical size, luminosity in the short and long ranges.

HANDLING
Due to the small size of about 7 cm and only 34gr weight the K3 fits in my closed fist. One can without any problems on your keyring secure, because it is well made. The K stands for Key finally (key). The on-off switch (push button) located on the back and not like many other bulbs on top of the case. Unlike the larger models, there is the push button of the K3 only an on and off function and no energy saving, SOS or defensive mode.

LIGHT
Before switching on, I was admittedly a bit skeptical. But all doubts vanished when I turned on the K3 after inserting the batteries. The light delivers this 7cm-dwarf from Solingen, is truly enormous. I did not think that one can get such a lot of power from such a small LED. Two brothers are the luminosity of the K3 with full batteries with 15 lumens to two hours of continuous operation. To what extent this is true I have not yet checked.

Now we come to the special, the Speed ​​Focus. Back and forth to push the bezel, you have the opportunity to focus the light beam. If you push the head back until it stops, we get a flare. PERSONAL OPINION
I must confess to have bought the K3 due to the good reviews honestly. So I did not really take into account the actual size of around 7cm. Since I have big hands, the switching on and off of the K3 is a hand bit fiddly. For smaller hands or delicate female hands again it is in my opinion perfect.

The included key ring on which the K3 depends is my personal opinion, a bit too thin. A coarser drawing and he gives in. Will you then attach the K3 directly to a stronger ring, so you have to be lucky to get this through the ring hole of the lamp. Even this is how the entire lamp, turned out very small.
Button cell batteries are as likely as not mine, but well, in the case that is not going to change. Ordinary batteries or even batteries (here I swear on Eneloop) would have pleased me better, but probably that would be once again impossible to implement due to the small size of the K3.

As described above, the performance of K3 is based enormously on their size. However, it has been developed mainly on illuminating keyholes and for all which must often see or read little things in the dark. Although it is enough for me to the evening stroll illuminate the forest paths in front of me, but the scattering takes higher and the light cone to be widened. For my purposes, a P5 or P7 would probably be better suited to what I'm going to watch or buy on occasion.

CONCLUSION
The K3 is a really great key lamp. No more. not less. Klein. Handy. Incredibly high luminosity. The price is perfectly fine. I give full five stars. I must be able to deduct any because I would have about the size of K3 were aware beforehand. So strong buy recommendation for this flashlight is really a. It fits into any pocket now times.
