But this little black box is an absolute hit! What you get for just under 90 euros, is really great: Plays almost all formats (video, audio, photos) from USB hard drives (NTFS and FAT) and memory sticks, and she even has a memory card slot.
The image quality is fantastic, whether similar to the good old tube TV or digitally via HDMI to the projector; as well as the sound through the optical link to surround receiver.
The network or UPnP function is just great: Have included the MS30 with a LAN cable via the Airport Express WiFi. Works flawlessly. The media server of Fritzbox was immediately recognized.
But how can you access the video files on the hard disk in Mac? Now that Eyeconnect- and Twonkyvision server've tested, both work well. The Twonky license's just for under 10 euros, so bought Twonky. Now I can play everything wirelessly from your laptop! Even SD videos run smoothly over 802.01g.
Property me today ordered by Poppstar the WLAN stick. If that works well, the Airport Express is available again for another. I'm curious.
Beyond Belief: Even files with multiple audio tracks (MKV), including Dolby Digital 5.1, run wirelessly! Only HD jerky on radio, which is not surprising. Regardless, it includes stop times a mobile hard drive, then you go also.
One more thing: So far, I could not do much with * .rec files from Topfield satellite receivers. The MS30 also plays this off easily when the extension * .rec simply in * .mpg amends. No time-consuming and wasteful recoding necessary. It is the first device that can do with these files something. All tracks are maintained. Finally, I can archive recorded movies from the receiver External HDD to HDD and play wirelessly. No complicated burning to DVD more! And the MS30 is hardly more expensive than the software for DVD burning.
Incidentally ordered through Amazon at Poppstar, the unit was already on the following day here! I was almost speechless.
All in all, just buy it and 5 star plus!
