My motivation to buy the clock was as follows: I wanted a clock that shows me when my next appointment is due and whether someone has sent me a message. The important thing is for me the part "I wanted a clock ...." The Pebble Steel looks like a clock and through the always-on e-paper display, the time is always displayed. Mir was very important and the actual main reason to buy the Pebble. All other smartwatches I have looked at so far are a few seconds of eye-catching bracelet, once the display is switched off to protect the battery. The Pebble is unrivaled in this point for an iPhone user. Side note this, the Pebble works perfectly with my iPhone 5 and the current iOS 8.3. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase after the first two weeks use. I have much less frequently in hand to watch my mobile to whether unnoticed messages have been received and I do not miss any more calls, even if the phone is silently tucked in his jacket pocket. A feature I miss, however, the only successor - will have - the Pebble Time: the ability to received messages directly to the clock by voice respond.
My conclusion: a strong buy recommendation for those who like me want to have a clock with smart additional functions. I subtract a star because considering its features the clock the price is something high (at the time 200 with leather strap) and the available 8 app / Watch Face - memories are too short.
