Smart design, fake colors and slightly blurred images

The Olympus TG-830 falls here clearly. Fringing and little sharpness ruin your day. The pictures are a little darker than the other cameras but this is rectified with + correction.
Immediately it is clear that the 7-year-old Canon PowerShot 720 (with only 7MP) makes much better pictures.
Although the Olympus is faster (even without flash). However, exposure, color and sharpness performance results are quite modest.
It should firstly be due to the optical system (luminous intensity from 3.9 to 5.9 is a bit poor) and are on the other hand at the not so wily color correction, the Verwacklungsstop and Auto White Balance.
I'm not clear which star I shall be forgiven here. 4 star is too much for photo, color, sharpness. The ergonomics and the self-explanatory layout is again 4-5 stars. The absolutely brilliant shortcuts and features I find 5 star standard and say that there are few cameras that are so easy to use.
Bin in conflict! It's really hard to think about 4 star and if I am to be honest it is not clear as 4-5 star to come out as an average for this camera to me.

Conclusion: ... the colors are not the evil. That way you get a photo shop. Real disturbing I find the sharpness. Even if, like me, only plans for the snorkeling vacation a few souvenir photos I am not very sure whether I want to keep these clippers. To what extent do you get the blur with Photoshop and massive Nachschärfungen under control remains to be seen.
The other side is the presence of some very good indeed applicable filters (Magic). That makes so much fun and you want more!
HDR photos can also like and I find that HDR photos have their own charm. Here, a number of images (usually 3 or more) made, superimposed and sharpened with different exposure levels. All this makes the camera internally and good!
The number of hits on some adjustments to the camera are ideal solutions.
Videos are sufficiently sharp and very excited I am because of the possibility of slow motion. Toll!

02/05/2014 Photos concerning: DESS farther was found that the pictures are very well sharp in my tests. Only not the object to which it's after. Behind at a distance of maybe 30 centimeters, the photo is sharp. Apparently the optics with autofocus has to be readjusted. Then, the photos should be razor sharp. I'll try Olympus. Maybe I can because soon receive a positive message from Olympus. The spongy and slightly blurry when magnified images are clear attributable to the lens. Here was saved!

23/06/2014 still quite satisfied. Meanwhile, a few adjustments, the auto focus were on, done. Better focus on those objects that I want to put into the picture. When comparing with (no matter what) SLR is frightened if the photo quality, but snapshots are possible at any time and the Olympus disappears in his pocket. A striking advantage, because only shot photos can be beautiful memories.

01/09/2015 A dent on the front aluminum sheet more recently the Olympus. How did it come is unclear (I cover the Olympus right care), but the aluminum on the front is pressed. Tightness samples I will refrain in the future. Otherwise still quite happy for the intended purpose of the camera. Outdoor and quickly shot a few times not to demanding Pic's. From the video performance I'm still surprised. This is a real highlight. Especially the extremely good SlowMotion function has it done to me as I am, often instructed in aeronautical field, with strength tests on slow motion. Here you can actually make good meaningful shots.
Disturbing I feel that it will affect in some shooting's, when too little flash are possibilities the automatic. A fill-in flash of the situation is not entirely different were desired. Dannoch, one can say the "little one" is dear to me. Fast, easy, and always with self-explanatory.
