I am years of iPhone users and used before the communicator from Nokia (9500). That's why I consider myself very experienced when it comes to mobile phones which can use not only to make calls. In my review, the Razr has to assert the iPhone and other Android devices.
Display and Camera:
As visually embossed Man is the display of the most important aspects of a smartphone. 10.9 cm diagonal, the display is huge! Greater it may be if you would like to use it properly in any case. People with small hands may have problems with a one-handed operation here. This can be evaluated either positively or negatively. I looked for the best display on the market and found it in the form of LG Optimus Black. The Razr is not much worse and is (in my estimation) straight to number two. Since then follow behind the Samsung Galaxy II and there behind the iPhone 4s. The glass front of the display is the same for all manufacturers and behaves accordingly equal. Often I read the fingerprints are easier to see on the Razr and harder to remove. I can only disagree. The fingerprints are seen equally to all devices and are always easy to remove.
The camera in the Razr is the absolute horror! As a photographer, I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to image quality, but here provide iPhone and other smartphones but significantly better results. I've noticed that it apparently is not just a bad camera (bad lens, bad sensor), but also the built-in software is relatively poor. If you install another from the market then the photos will be better, but are still far from "good" away! In this area, the iPhone 4 (S) in the first place closely followed by the LG Optimus 3D. Handling and operation:
Since the Razr is quite large, it is not directly comfortably in your hand. The iPhone 4 is a bit smaller, but also more difficult and thus fits in almost every hand. The Razr is next to the size simply extremely flat and thus not immediately a very good grip. But I have noticed that it is pure habit. Meanwhile, I have difficulties to keep a reasonable iPhone. The four Android buttons below the display are made even good with both hands and lie a little further apart than usual. This allows a precise one-hand operation. The connections for the phone are placed at the top which is really awesome. One has the connections at the bottom (such as the iPhone) but considerably complicates the operation in the cable operation. Here all the cables coming up from the phone and thus interfere at all. Only with docking stations on your PC or in the car but the operation is then announced in landscape mode. On the housing itself are three buttons. All three are mounted right on the edge. I use the phone mostly with his left hand and has to rethink from therefore somewhat. You get used to it, although the buttons do not always easy to operate. A highlight of the iPhone 4S is "Siri" intelligent voice recognition. It's actually amazing what Siri knows all and how they responded. The housing of the Razr is so amazing, it is also an absolute battering ram. To me it is already fallen down three times, and so far I do not see any scratches, dents or damage to the hardware. So it is no problem to use it in the rain because it is sealed against water spray (Caution: Do not hold the phone under a faucet and do not wash with detergent).
Conclusion:
With the iPhone compared the Razr is much more likely that what it says, namely a smart phone. Motorola has certainly made his thoughts and continued to develop innovations. The case is unique in the market and looks absolutely chic! The functions exceed a iPhone by far, and the display is absolutely brilliant and colorfast. It gets only for the camera and the buttons on the right side slight deductions from me which I can overlook these things. I can really recommend it to anyone, the device time to pick it up as it is not likely to fit in your hand before buying.
