The Garmin for iPhone 4 and 4s

My old Garmin Navi would actually much time a map update required. That's why I was looking for a new Navi, a software for my iPhone or a map update (which naturally makes the hardware and not new)

After doing some research on the net, I have (among other things also for cost reasons) decided to procure a navigation system for my iPhone (instead of the map update or procuring a new Navis).
In question only the Garmin or Navigon came (actually Garmin). I then decided to go for the Garmin, I had the system even on my old Navi. The price, of course, played a role. In App Store the software without support is more expensive than here with the holder system.

After the first tests with my "new" Navi, I am pleasantly surprised. Garmin has in the new navigation software removes some (for me) annoyances of the old software. Another positive aspect is that I now have my Navi always there did that was different before (wg. Of several vehicles).

Hardware:
The Navigon Garmin is one of you realize when you look at the latest holder, since it is namely "Navigon". The holder system is stuck, there is nothing to complain about it. The iPhone can be easily engaged and removed.

Software:
Once you have redeemed the coupon code to iTunes, the navigation app is downloaded (ca.250MB). After the first start on the iPhone you get a variety of downloads. The European card and additional software have a size of about 2,4GB that can avail depending on your internet connection just a few hours. If everything is installed, Garmin will start relatively quickly, faster than a normal Navi. The menu is the same as that of a "normal" Garmin Navis. Quality as Garmin usual very good. Very fast navigation, no lags.

Positive is also the Bluetooth voice transmission to the car radio. Works if the iPhone for handsfree car stereo (if it can) is connected. The radio will then muted done (only for announcements) and the voice instructions through the speakers of the car radio. This is very convenient because you have to do no more radio down when navigating.

And ... by the policy of Apple devices, you can install the navigation system on multiple devices and use !!!

Conclusion:
As a longtime Garmin users (with all the advantages and disadvantages), I'm really excited ...
