I have previously sewn much good stuff and have also worked with good and less good machines. Now when I wanted to sew a costume for my small son and most the sewing machine my mom had given up the ghost, I have summarily decided to create my own. My first road led naturally to Stiftung Warentest and after the 'cheap' version of Singer had well finished, I actually thought - now it gets. But Amazon seemed very accommodating and I have read all the reviews and know that it is not solely on non-skill, if a thread constantly breaks, but also simply to poor workmanship etc. So, I have more research and decided to go for this model. And I must say, the choice is top !!! I am absolutely delighted !!! She hums quietly, is top to use. The first hand steps are well explained. What what stitches are needed, you should not expect in the manual, but if you decide for sewing, reading at the initial stage eh first lot and grow pure. Really great is the Overlock Stitch, so I could really beautiful neaten the edges. And thanks to the great setting of the tension, I still torn, not a single thread. The wheels turn and grip are user-friendly. Light is also sufficient. Only honest, the English name of the functions do not just expect you at Singer ... I do not mind, but I think it is good but not necessarily. Very good I think the responsiveness, ie even the slightest tap of the foot she works slowly and clean. I've already sewn with a variety of materials and everything is clean through - she has not eaten yet;) I think it is a great alternative between low and still high-priced sewing machines and they can do what you need everything for the normal 'household' tailors , My choice would fall back on the Singer 2263 Tradition!
